4G Modules

4G Modules

4G (or LTE) is the fourth generation of cellular network connectivity from 206. With 5G still in its early stages, there is plenty of room for growth and full lifecycles for innovations built with 4G IoT modules – most of which are based on 4G’s ‘Standard’ categories, LTE Cat 1 and LTE Cat 4.

The most advanced form of 4G connectivity is LTE Advanced, usually known as LTE-A. This major enhancement of the Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard offers much higher data rates than LTE Standard – LTE-A networks can deliver speeds up to 2Gbps, nearly 14 times faster than LTE Cat 4.

Quectels LTE modules have exceptionally small footprints, can optionally be appointed with multi-receiver GNSS capability for satellite positioning, and are equipped as standard with multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology which greatly reduces errors and ensures reliable data speeds.

5G Modules

5G Modules

5G modules connect IoT devices to the cutting edge of cellular networks, with ultra-high data rates and ultra-low latency – enabling applications as diverse as remote surgery, autonomous driving, virtual reality gaming, smart manufacturing and robotics.

5G already enables data rate several times faster than LTE-A – typical download speeds for our 5G modules are 4.2Gbps in standalone mode, 5Gbps in non-standalone, and 7.5Gbps using mmWave – and 5G is forecast to rise to around 100 times faster than LTE-A over its lifetime, meaning near-instant retrieval of vast quantities of data.

This enables for instance smart factories with high-res cameras and real-time video analytics to monitor almost every facet of their business, driving efficiency and innovation. Network slicing allow sectors with widely divergent needs to occupy their own individual corners of 5G networks, ensuring service delivery at the highest level without interruption.

Automotive IoT Modules

Automotive IoT Modules

Automotive IoT modules helps to connect vehicles to networks, services, infrastructure, civic authorities and each other – making road travel safer, faster, easier, more entertaining, and more environmentally sustainable.

The rise of smart cities is making C-V2X technology increasingly everyday – allowing vehicles to communicate in sophisticated ways with pedestrians, buildings, roads, and each other.  Quectel is a leading supplier to the automotive industry, providing durable, compliant and reliable hardware to enable the new generation of smart vehicles.

For applications in driver assistance, traffic management, on-board entertainment, autonomous driving and more, Quectels automotive IoT modules are leading the way to smarter roads.

LPWA Modules

LPWA Modules

LPWA modules connect devices requiring low power consumption, long range and high security, primarily via NB-IoT and LTE-M networks.

This makes LPWA modules ideal for applications with low data requirements, which demand low running costs but may require many units, or those that operate in remote locations, and must be powered reliably over long periods and with minimal human intervention.

LPWA (low-power wide-area) therefore brings many everyday objects into the IoT: thermostats, street lights, utility meters and even trashcans for instance can now be easily connected to cellular networks, then be monitored and controlled remotely, or automated entirely.

Countless items which might previously never have seemed candidates for connectivity can now be intelligent devices. Such solutions can provide crucial insights into operational performance, helping to drive perpetual improvements – and the data generated allows sectors as a whole to better understand themselves too.

Satellite Modules

Satellite Modules

Satellite modules provide seamless connectivity in remote and challenging environments where traditional networks fall short.

Designed for mission-critical applications, these modules support satellite communication for IoT, transportation, maritime, emergency response, and industrial applications.

With compatibility for major satellite networks, low power consumption, and robust design, Quectel’s satellite modules ensure reliable data transmission even in the most isolated locations.

Whether for tracking, asset management, or real-time monitoring, these modules enable global coverage with high efficiency and minimal latency, keeping your operations connected anytime, anywhere

Smart Modules

Smart Modules

Smart IoT modules bring together previously separate functionalities – for instance computing, graphics processing, data storage and connectivity – into single, highly compact pieces of hardware.

The ability to perform such various tasks in a single module removes the need to specify and develop multiple function-specific modules, and then ensure they can be integrated into a unified product; smart modules are therefore a key way for solution builders to simplify designs, reduce size, remove technical limitations, limit costs and accelerate time-to-market.

They are in short the cutting edge of integrated hardware in the world of IoT technologies.

Smart modules can support a rich set of peripheral components – such as cameras, LCMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, memory and SD cards, eSIM and embedded universal integrated circuit cards (eUICC). They offer a wide choice of interfaces such as USB2.0/3.0, USB type-C, I2C, UART, GPIOs, and support PWM and ADCs.

Smart modules also have integrated operating systems – often with a choice of Linux for applications in industrial IoT, or Android for commercial solutions – as well as device drivers and associated SDKs.

WiFi & Bluetooth Modules

WiFi & Bluetooth Modules

Wi-Fi modules connect IoT devices to Wi-Fi networks, a form of short-range connectivity.

Wi-Fi’s sixth generation Wi-Fi 6 represents a dramatic improvement over its predecessors, with maximum output of 9.6Gbps over Wi-Fi 5’s 3.5Gbps, much reduced latency, and superior ability to support multiple devices.

Quectel’s Wi-Fi 6 modules are designed to deliver faster, more secure and more robust Wi-Fi experiences than ever before, as well as new Bluetooth audio capabilities.

When used in combination with Quectel's 5G modules, these offer superior 5G and Wi-Fi 6 performance for MiFi and CPE designed to ensure high-speed connections supporting up to 32 clients at a time, guaranteeing ultrareliable connections for multi-user scenarios such as smart homes, shopping malls, schools and factories.
