EMI shielding gaskets are designed to protect electronic equipment from harmful electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI).
By creating a conductive path along the seams and other openings in an electronic enclosure, these gaskets establish smooth current flow and prevent destructive radiation from interfering with performance by completing a Faraday cage around the electronics.
Vanguard’s Ultra-Vanshield™ elastomer gaskets provide exceptional EMI shielding and environmental sealing, making them ideal for aerospace, military, medical, and telecom applications.
Engineered with highly conductive materials and durable silicone or fluorosilicone, these gaskets ensure long-lasting performance even in extreme conditions.
They offer excellent EMI/RFI shielding, protect against dust, moisture, and temperature fluctuations, and comply with industry standards such as MIL-DTL-83528. Available in various profiles, sizes, and material options, Ultra-Vanshield™ gaskets are designed for reliability in mission-critical applications.
EPDM has a higher tensile strength than silicone. It also functions well in high and low temperatures and offers resistance to abrasion, oxidation, ozone, UV, acids, alkalis, water, and harsh weather conditions.
The properties of EPDM make it ideal for outdoor environments, military applications, and other complex settings.
Board level shielding, fingerstocks, is typically etched from .007″ – .020″ brass, nickel silver, copper or cold rolled steel. Board level shielding can also be manufactured out of beryllium copper, if spring qualities are desired. The standard finish is tin plate.
These RoHS-compliant shielding strips are designed for a wide variety of application requirements. They are available in strips ranging from 16 to 24 inches in length, in continuous coils up to 35 feet long, as single fingers, or custom-cut to requested full-finger lengths.
