ASUS PE100A Edge Box PC

PE100A from ASUS is an edge box PC based on a Pico-ITX motherboard optimised for TCO and supported by a secondary I/O board for added functionality. It is powered by an NXP® i.MX 8M SoC processor with Arm® Cortex-A53 architecture at up to 1.3 GHz, providing efficient performance with low power consumption. The PE100A also features 4GB of LPDDR4 memory and 16GB of on-board eMMC, as well as two Ethernet ports, three USB ports and an HDMI port on the front. Two COM ports, with RS232/RS485/CAN bus, and a digital DI/DO are also available as optional interfaces on the back. Inside, the PE100A motherboard also supports an M.2 E-key connector and a micro SD card connector, while the I/O board offers Mini PCIe®/mSATA and a nano SIM card slot.

 

The computer is also designed with a wide range of power inputs (12~24V) and operating temperatures (-20°~60°) to serve as an edge-to-cloud gateway device for data aggregation, processing and forwarding.
