
ARM-based SBC with quad-core processor – Rockchip RK3288-CG.W
From ASUS Tinker Board S R2.0 is an enhanced single board computer (SBC) with increased durability, stability and ease of use, especially for manufacturers. It is powered by a quad-core Rockchip RK3288-CG.W processor with ARMv8 architecture and Mali-T764 GPU, providing improved performance compared to other popular SBCs. The GPU enables various uses such as high-quality media viewing, gaming, computer vision and gesture recognition.
Tinker Board S R2.0 supports HD and UHD video playback at 30fps (available via the included media player), as well as HD audio quality with a built-in HD codec that supports up to 24-bit/192kHz audio. The integrated audio connector supports both audio output and microphone input without the need for an additional module, making it easy and convenient to use external audio devices.
This SBC is also equipped with standard interfaces for IoT connectivity, including a 40-pin GPIO connector, a DSI MIPI connector for displays and touchscreens, and a CSI MIPI connector for compatible cameras. For network connectivity, it has a Gbit LAN port with dedicated resource, ensuring consistent performance. It also has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with protection against interference through a metal shield, as well as an IPEX antenna connector for easy antenna upgrade or replacement.
The Tinker Board S R2.0 features a full-size HDMI socket and four USB 2.0 ports for connecting accessories. The PCB dimensions and topology conform to the standard SBC, allowing the use of a variety of chassis and accessories. It also features colour-coded pull-tabs and silk-screening to simplify connections. A heat sink is included for improved heat dissipation under high load or in hot environments, and an optional metal housing is available as a market-ready solution.
To create new possibilities and benefits, Tinker Board S R2.0 supports MIPI Convert Board and PoE Splitter Board to increase convenience and functionality in different scenarios.
