One-piece M18 proximity sensor for defence applications. Ceramic sensing face. Normally open, current sinking.
Environment-proof self-contained proximity sensor enclosed in a rugged stainless steel housing, designed to meet the requirements of aerospace, ordnance, marine, mass transit and high performance industrial equipment. Operation by Hall Effect principle, which is used to detect magnetic fields passing in front of the sensing face.Once a target metal is detected, a trigger signal is produced which is then passed through the output conditioning circuitry to give a high or low output, depending on the sensor application.
The ZS Series is designed for high-reliability operation in extreme conditions, with robust housing, hermetic sealing, and wide operating temperature ranges. These sensors offer configurable actuation distances, output types, and mounting options, making them ideal for mission-critical applications in aerospace, armored vehicles, naval systems, and missile platforms.
With MIL-STD compliant design and flexible customization options, the ZS Series ensures precise detection and signal integrity under vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference. Engineers can rely on the Honeywell proven platform for scalable, defence-ready sensing solutions
Honeywell ZS Series Proximity Sensors are engineered and manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility in Newhouse, Scotland, ensuring strict process control and consistent product quality.
As part of Honeywell's “Europe for Europe” strategy, this localized production supports strategic autonomy, accelerates program timelines, and ensures alignment with European defence standards and regulations. The
Newhouse site leverages advanced automation and in-line testing protocols to meet the rigorous demands of military-grade sensor applications.
