The IEM-DCR-1000 is a high-performance DC energy meter 1000A designed for heavy-duty charging and utility metering. Isabellenhütte developed this solution to meet the demands of systems that handle up to 1,000 A of current and 1,500 V of voltage. It's an ideal choice for High Power Charging (HPC) stations, battery energy storage systems, and smart grid installations.
The system includes the SU-1000 Sensor Unit and a modular Display Unit. Together, they deliver high-precision measurement in real time. The sensor supports 4 voltage channels, offering accurate and reliable readings in multi-phase or distributed setups. A CAN interface streams live data every few milliseconds, including voltage, current, energy, and temperature. Operators can use this information for billing, diagnostics, and system management.
Built with a shunt-based power path, the SU-1000 mounts directly to a busbar using M12 terminals. This design ensures a safe, low-resistance connection, even in high-current environments. The Display Unit supports Ethernet (RJ45) and RS485 (SML), making it easy to connect to SCADA systems, billing platforms, or local HMIs.
The meter operates in extreme conditions, from -25 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It complies with MID, LNE, UL, and German calibration law, so it meets the strictest requirements for revenue-grade metering and legal-for-trade installations.
