DC energy meter 1500A for megawatt charging with 2 calibration-grade voltage channels and real-time data output via CAN.
DC energy meter 1500A IEM-DCR-1500 is Isabellenhütte’s most advanced DC energy meter 1500A, engineered for megawatt charging, heavy-duty EV infrastructure, and high-power industrial metering. Built with precision, flexibility, and integration in mind, this meter supports 1,500 A of rated current and 1,400 V rated voltage, with 2 calibration-compliant voltage channels for legal metrology use.
This model combines the SU-1500 Sensor Unit with a modular Display Unit, delivering fast and reliable real-time data output every 10 milliseconds via CAN. It is ideal for applications where high-speed feedback and accuracy are mission-critical, such as Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS) or fleet depot charging.
Unlike earlier information, this version does not comply with the French LNE standard. However, it is fully MID-compliant and aligned with German calibration law, making it suitable for most European regulatory environments. The sensor unit features 2× M12 terminals per side (total of 4), enabling robust and secure high-current connections. The display unit operates from -25 °C to +70 °C, while the sensor unit supports even harsher climates, down to -40 °C.
Additional smart features boost flexibility and usability:
Field-calibrated parameter modification enables advanced adaptability across different system environments.
Software integration is straightforward with support for LF EVerest Driver and REST API, significantly simplifying backend connectivity and control in complex system setups.
The system supports bi-directional energy flow, cable loss compensation, and OCMF-compliant output, ensuring precision and performance even under demanding conditions.
The IEM-DCR-1500 is the optimal metering solution for cutting-edge, large-scale DC energy applications. It bridges the gap between industrial robustness and smart grid flexibility—delivering reliable, certifiable energy measurement at the highest performance tier.
