Kontron KPanel S Industrial Panel PC

With the KPanel S series, Kontron offers an industrial-grade all-in-one Panel PC designed for on-machine operation, enabling clear visualization of workflows and reliable control of machines, devices, and systems.

 

The systems are available with Intel Atom® or powerful Intel® Core™ processors, making them suitable for demanding visualizations and complex background tasks. Anti-glare and anti-fingerprint surface treatments ensure good readability even under difficult lighting conditions. The multi-touch screen ith hardened glass (IK06) can be operated with gloves and reduces input errors thanks to drop and palm rejection.

 

The IP65-protected system features a closed metal housing with passive cooling for long service life and high availability. The devices support various support arm concepts, while access to the I/Os is provided via a hinged cover on the rear.

 

Equipped with DDR5 RAM, M.2 SSDs with up to 1 TB (RAID 0/1 optional) and an optional CF card slot, the Panel PCs also meet high storage requirements. Wireless communication can be implemented via WiFi 6 and Bluetooth.

 

The KPanel S series offers two DisplayPorts, two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and four USB ports, including two USB 3.2 ports, as standard. On the KPanel S-AML/ADN, one of these is a USB-C port. An additional IP65-protected USB interface on the front of the device and a power button with status LED are available as options.

 

The completely flush, scratch-resistant display design prevents dirt edges and makes cleaning easier – an important aspect for use in industrial production environments. The new 21.5" version expands the portfolio with a particularly clear operating solution for demanding HMI applications.

 

All systems in the KPanel S series are based on Kontron 3.5" SBCs, which are also used in other Kontron Panel and Box PC systems. This makes it easy to transfer existing software concepts and reduces maintenance costs.
