KCell integrates dual 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports and optional Wi-Fi 7, making it suitable for both wired and wireless industrial environments. Its 4.95Gbps downlink and 550Mbps uplink performance, paired with advanced MIMO and 256QAM, enable real-time data transfer for applications such as robotics, video surveillance, and mobile workstations.

Built for harsh conditions, the KCell features a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and a solid metal casing. It can be DIN rail- or wall-mounted and operates reliably in environments like manufacturing plants, remote infrastructure, and mobile assets. Moreover, the ruggedized variant offers M12 connectors and IP67-level durability for outdoor or mobile deployments.

Another key advantage is its software platform: KontronOS, based on OpenWRT Linux. It provides advanced routing, VPN support, firewall management, and remote firmware updates. In addition, KCell supports Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) as an option, enabling precise synchronization in industrial automation.
